A social accounting matrix (SAM) is a comprehensive and economy-wide database recording data about all transactions between economic agents in a certain economy during a certain period of time.
Social Accounting Matrix of Ethiopia 2015/16 (follow the link to access the JRC technical report documenting the SAM), can now be downloaded from the home page of the DataM portal, under the PANAP* section, in CSV format. Further an interactive dashboard to analyse the data and to download the SAM in traditional matrix format is also available.
This SAM is also integrated in the DataM jobs calculator for interactive simulations of the impact on Ethiopian employment of changes of Ethiopian exports of commodities or services.
