On 14th July 2020, the JRC has launched a survey to monitor the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the EU’s agricultural-food supply chain - from farm to fork.
The survey is organized in two versions, depending on your role:
- Survey for businesses/companies in the agri-food chain
- Survey for organisations that support or represent the interest of the businesses in the agri-food chain
Languages: available in all 24 EU official languages
Scope: the study includes the EU and (since falling in the Brexit transition period ending on 31.12.2020) the UK
Deadline: 30 September 2020
The survey targets companies and businesses (including small enterprises and farmers) active in the production, distribution, processing, wholesale or retail stages of the agri-food supply chain.
The aim is to investigate the resilience, constraints and responses of operators to COVID-19, all along the chain.
Questions cover both the lockdown and easing of lockdown measures, exploring operators’ experiences, thoughts on future prospects and the measures they need to support their activities. Your responses can help provide relevant evidence to EU policymaking.
The COVID-19 crisis is putting a significant strain on the EU’s agri-food supply chain.
Measures introduced to slow down the spread of the pandemic - such as quarantine, increased border controls and the shutdown of the economy - are already having a profound effect on supply chain operators.
These effects are expected to continue in the coming months.
At the end of the survey period, anonymous results will be published on the EC data portal of agro-economic research (DataM) on this dashboard, that for the moment contains the statistics of participation.
