DataM opens a new section dedicated to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic in relation with the economic analysis of agriculture and sustainable resources.
Future contents will concern agro-economic data about studies under development as, for example, surveys data on food-chain.
The CORONA dashboard
The CORONA dashboard (https://web.jrc.ec.europa.eu/dashboard/CORONA) is the first content of this section, and allows the interactive self-analysis of pure pandemic data about Europe.
It is implemented in collaboration with the European Crisis Management Laboratory (ECML) of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, in the context of the JRC COVID-19 website
The dashboard is based on open data that is publicy disseminated by the ECML at https://github.com/ec-jrc/COVID-19
First version of the dashboard proposes data issued on daily basis by European countries about: number of positives, fatalities, people recovered, hospitalizations (normal and in intensive care).
Individual country data may arrive all along the day, CORONA dashboard is therefore automatically refreshed every 15 minutes, in order to be timely up-to-dated with latest bulletins.
CORONA proposes the possibility to freely analyse the data under arbitrary periods, by country(ies) and as a whole. Data can be seen in absolute value, as well as in relation to the population or to the number of positives ever detected.
The dashboard has the potential for evolving with more advanced analysis and data (e.g. worldwide and/or regional) and other indicators such as the restrictive measures undertaken by country.
